Studio Day 2- about 72 hours later

Wow- so here is the thing I have learned about this kind of manual labor- I do NOT feel like downloading images and journalling after 12 hours of removing staples :)

These are from Tuesday- I have a couple from today too, but really it hasn't changed much. More staples removed and we did start to clean the floor.

I will hopefully be introducing some people around my new neighborhood on the blog soon :) That will be fun!

Here are some images from Tuesday....not nearly the progress of Monday, but you can see we were able to remove all the plywood and I just kept on working on getting those staples up. Notice mom and dad were here again. They are just too hard of workers! By the way- I really need someone to take a picture of me in here too sometime :) My mom and dad rock though!!!!

From last week!!!

A Fleeting Moment Photography is going STUDIO!!!!!

More details to be announced soon, but I just had to share some images from it! We will be working hard next week to do some repair work, but the same "look" will be carried through! I for one LOVE LOVE LOVE those windows and that interior wall with brick!!

I cannot WAIT to get my seniors in here....and bridals, and children....With all those windows expect mostly natural light until dark, but I will be taking evening appointments too and the studio lights will be available.

If you do electrical, bathroom installation, floor repair, window repair, or really most any type of construction- let me know. I am trading labor for portrait credit!!

I should know an opening date in the next couple of weeks. It is likely that it will be at least late August, but no matter what, I think it is going to be perfect!

Check out the images:#1- sure there is some cleanup to do, but that brick is STAYING. I love love love it! Expect to see many seniors and children near those windows soon.#2- Speaking of windows......look at those. After the 2 windows are repaired, these north facing windows are going to fill this room with light!!! #3- That is right- I am keeping that back wall like this! Great grunge look. With the pink accents otherwise around the room- this is going to be a perfect guy's background!!!I will update the blog with more images when things change. Needless to say- I am beyond excited :)

Studio- Day 1

Wow- what a day.

I walked in with the owner of the building and we started going through the things that needed to be done..I think at that point I wondered- what in the world did I just get myself into?!!!!

Of course everyone proably would say something like that if they are standing in the middle of a room where lots of the ceiling needed to be knocked down, the floor pulled up, sanded and finished, ceiling fans installed, Walls cleared of peeling paint, and a dozen windows moved up 2 flights of stairs.

Those of you who know me well, know I at first attempted most of this myself and then well when it just wasn't working, I can honestly tell you, I stood in the middle of all of this and started to get emotional.... I left to run home and get some supplies.... My mom called- and they suprised me and came to help me out. This restored my confidence and boy I don't know if the images can show you what we did today.....other than making more of a mess at times :) All but the South side of the room's boards- Thanks to my Hero- DAD are off and the nails/staples are pulled out- MOM you ROCK!! I did the ceiling and the walls before I left the first time, but there is still a little more to do to be sure it is going to be right. I have to say- the floors will be incredible!

I cannot wait for the day we open! Of course- I'm not sure when that will be yet :) More updates as I get them! Here are some details from today.....We will be back working tomorrow so I'll have another update tomorrow night. Gotta get internet in there soon so I don't have to run back and forth! Oh and I promise to bring a wider angle lense- LOL I just grabbed my camera and this is what was on it!!
