This last month has been crazy busy! Travis and Todd and I have been working so much on the studio, but not too much has been imag worthy yet :) And I have had a ton of weddings and seniors and families too, so I haven't had much time. Yesterday Travis asked me if I had a chance to update my blog in a while....nope- so I'm doing this because he asked :) Thanks for the kick in the butt Trav!
I can thank Travis for the work in the main area, but Todd has been working hard on my back room! In fact the spray was applied yesterday and I can't wait to go see! He will be doing the floors in ther this week- I gotta go buy some tile for it.... Anyway- I understand the doors arrived last night! Sooo excited to get this stuff done!
The landlord caulked and painted the north side windows, had the furnace put in and did the tile in the actual bathroom- kind of blah for my tastes, so I am seeing a lot of color on the walls and a nice bright rug....
Sadly my teal door outside has to go, I'm sad about that since it will be white now, but that is up to the landlord. He said teal and brick just don't go well together. LOL Sometime look around dubuque- Teal and brick are, well , EVERYWHERE together. Anyway, I have no say in this one, so I consider those senior images I did outside with that door precious!! Goodbye pretty teal door (I added one of Ashley outside with it).
The brown cloumn looks AWESOME! It is my "new" part of the shooting area. Travis closed that crumbling plaster piller with some nice new sheetrock and we painted it this week. This will be my living room area- and I plan on shooting a lot of family sessions right here! I need to get some curtains for the windows, a few different ones so we can pick depending on the mood of the image and the colors people are wearing. It's to block out Dirty Ernies- LOVE the place, but not in my pictures :) You do have to check out their Thursday morning breakfast special of Biscuits and Gravy- HOMEMADE- Yummmmmm
The fan blades are all on thanks to Travis too- he painted he white around there and put the blades on- not that I will be using those anytime soon since it is well- almost WINTER!! LOL But they look great and I can get rid of 3 big boxes I was keeping "just in case"
Okay- huge long post- sorry!!! :) Pictures below!
